3 out of 5 eggsOK Motherboard...bare minimum

Pros: -- It's a small form factor Mobo.
-- It's an AM3+ Mobo with decent silk-screening.
-- Minimal packaging
-- Cheap

Cons: Here we go....trying to make constructive criticism here:

1. Two words FAN HEADERS -- WHY don't motherboards have more than one fan header for an entire system? Most cases support up to 3, at minimum.

2. One thing I noticed is a 1-2mm gap in the ATX plate at the PS2 and IO ports...really? There's little excuse for that. Shoddy design there. Moreover, in a standard Rosewill branded case the ATX plate at the back didn't even stay in by itself and falls out when trying to place the board into position. Of all the systems I've ever built for clients and myself, I've NEVER seen this before buying this.

3. The Audio header placement....why would you want to run a cable across a mobo into your card slots? This should be on the perimeter of the board....just like most other designs do -- to keep them out of the way.

4. No screws/standoffs? 1 SATA cable? These things are pennies each...but really guys, you can do better.

Other Thoughts: Bottom Line:

I know I'm a little nit-picky above. However, I feel that these are legit concerns that novice system builders wouldn't be able to deal with in all cases. I happen to have a box full of crown screws and standoffs, so not a big deal at all....but what about folks who DON'T have all that stuff laying around.

Further, the fan header thing, even on a budget board, really gets me fired up. Companies expect us to buy these boards but yet we have to buy 3/5 pin adapters to use our fans to keep the system from frying? You can do better Gigabyte! I've seen you do it.

I have additional parts on order as I ran short of DDR3 memory to complete this build. However, if I have any additional notes on CMOS, I'll put them here.

If anyone cares, I'm using this build to support BOINC and crunch data for cancer research. It doesnt' have to be fancy, just workable. (Hopefully, this might give some context to what I build these for and my comments in hopes that if someone from the Manufacturer actually reads these, it might be thought of in future revisions/launches.)

5 out of 5 eggsAre you looking for a budget build ? look no further

Pros: I have had this motherboard for a month so far. Just amazing. It is a motherboard... what else can i say. great price. pci express and AM3+ socket. great choice for a budget build that will not disappoint you. DO NOT BE AFRAID OF DOA. Newegg is amazing. they will return it for you no hassel . go for it !

Cons: Maybe if it had another PCI E slot it would just be awesome ! but it is still awesome for its price and will not disappoint.

Other Thoughts: My build:
Fx 6300 six core
Asus hd 7770 GHZ edition ( clocked at 1ghz)
8 GB of ram
1tb of storage
cx 500 m ( Corsair 500w psu)
i play far cry 3 at 1080p high settings with AA at 60 fps

5 out of 5 eggsGreat budget board

Pros: Compact, but with many features. Faster than it`s Nvidia chipset counterparts.

Cons: Ugly new color.

Other Thoughts: Received the new v1.2. Thought they sent an MSI board by mistake, ugly brown. Easy to setup, and was able to transfer a Windows 8.1 setup to the new board without a reinstall (just needed to reactivate). I went from a Biostar with an Nvidia chipset to this. Noticeable speed increase on startup, and overall performance.

4 out of 5 eggsProbably Ok

Pros: Cheap and small form factor

Cons: Didn't realize when I bought it that this board won't accept 125w (8 core) FX chips.

Other Thoughts: Had to return because it wasn't robust enough. No knocks on it, won't give it a bad rating other than I wish it was a little more clear what CPU's it wouldn't accept.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat MOBO for the price!!

Pros: - Micro ATX!! Love them, but it's personal preference I guess
- I personally like the BIOS that's included with this motherboard. Has simple settings for the average user, that are easy to understand AND advanced settings for those that like to overclock their CPU and RAM

Cons: - Not really a con, but I wish this was SLI/Crossfire compatible. Although I knew it wasn't going in, so not really a con.

Other Thoughts: Overall a great buy for the mid-level gaming rig.

System:
AMD FX-6300 Black Edition 3.5GHz
8GB GSKill 1333 Memory
Sapphire Radeon HD 7770 GHZ Edition
And of course this MOBO

5 out of 5 eggsA great board for the price!

Pros: Need a great board for a budget build? This is probably what you are looking for.

Cons: Not enough places to plug in case fans, though this isn't really a con considering one can just use an adapter to solve the problem.

Other Thoughts: This board only has one outlet for a case fan. If you are like me and prefer a hurricane force breeze flowing through your case, make sure you have some adapters to run your case fans off of your PSU.

4 out of 5 eggsAlmost perfect

Pros: Nice light weight board for standard office desktop builds.

Cons: When connecting front USB from APEVIA X-QPACK2, board will not power on. First thought it was a PSU issue until I plugged everything in one at a time to find it was F_USB1 and F_USB2 causing the problem.

Other Thoughts: F_USB might work with other cases. If this board doesn't power on, find them suspect.

4 out of 5 eggsmotherboard

Pros: This is a great board for the price.

Cons: The only thing bad about this board is the internal video card. This card will freeze on you. Therefore, you must disable it and install you own video card
