Pros: USB 3.0
Cons: 1st one I had wouldn't see microSD card. Replacement won't see microSD & SD cards at the same time. It's one or the other, but not both together. It sees either one of these with a CF card.
Other Thoughts: Kingston MobileLite G3 works better. It can see microSD & SD cards at the same time.
Probably not worth sending the Transcend back again.
This review is from: 2-Port SuperSpeed USB 3.0 PCI-E PCI Express 15-pin SATA Power Connector Low Profile
Pros: Low profile card
Comes with low profile bracket
USB 3.0 (SuperSpeed USB)
Cons: Power connector is SATA. A bit unusual, as all others use Molex type.
Other Thoughts: Power connector is SATA, Depending on your PSU & the length of the power wires, this could be Pro or Con.
You might need an adapter for your PSU. I needed two because they were all too short. Most OEM computers have power cables that only reach as far as the spare slot, they are routed to.
Newegg Overview should answer all your questions. More details in Overview than in Specifications.
Be patient for it to arrive, it's coming from China via ChinaPost to US Postal Service.
This review is from: BYTECC BRACKET-100 Rare Panel 2.5"HDD/SSD Bracket Fit into PCI or PCI-E Slot
Pros: Came with 4-drive mounting screws & 1-slot mounting screw.
It must be plastic, so it won't short out the bus slot.
Good for any laptop type (2.5") HDD or SSD.
Cons: Can only give it 4-stars, since still in box.
Other Thoughts: Never saw one like this before, found it interesting. Bought it for possible future use. Many OEM desktops have limited spare drive mounting locations & PCI slots that will never be used.READ FULL REVIEW
